 Covington’s Aquatic Facilities are back in operation for the 2021 season!

Pool Season: June 12, 2021 - August 8, 2021 

Hours: Everyday, Noon - 6:00 PM 


Facilities


The City operates two pools and one zero-depth water park/splash pad. Admission is free to Covington residents with a pool pass (see below). Pools employ lifeguards and pool attendants, and also have food and drink for purchase.  

  • Randolph Park, at East 8th and Greenup Streets in the Eastside neighborhood, offers an Olympic-sized swimming pool for recreational swimming. 
  • Goebel Park, located along Philadelphia Street between West 5th and West 9th Streets in the MainStrasse Village, neighborhood, offers an Olympic-sized swimming pool for recreational swimming. 
  • The Latonia Water Park/Splash Pad is located in the Bill Cappel Youth Sports Complex at 43rd Street and Decoursey Avenue. The zero-depth park offers hoses, sprinklers, slides, and play equipment and is perfect for young children.


Pool Passes


Annual pool passes are free to Covington residents. To obtain:

  • Register during your first visit to a Covington pool. Either bring a completed application, available HERE, or obtain it at the pool and fill it out there.
  • Bring proof of residency (a valid driver's license or state ID). If you have recently relocated to Covington and do not yet have an ID with proof of address, bring a lease or utility bill showing a Covington address along with a photo ID.
  • Applicants must be 18 or older and must complete and sign their own form. Parents and grandparents may register children or grandchildren under the age of 18.
  • Each registration form comes with 10 guest passes for use during the swim season.

Swim Lessons

Classes are free to Covington residents only. 


Beginner & Parent Class 

Children who are new to swim lessons or have little experience in the water should register for the Beginner Class. During class, children will learn to float, glide, and move through the water using propulsive kicks and arms. 


Intermediate & Parent Class 

Children who can float on their back for at least 5 seconds should register for the Intermediate Class. During class. children will learn the fundamentals of freestyle, backstroke, and elementary backstroke.
